Whenever you wingfoil in strong winds, make sure that you use a smaller wing, so you don't feel overpowered. While it is easier to stand up and get riding for a long time in strong wind, you can get overpowered in gustier winds. One of the advantages of wing foiling is the safety system. You can easily put the wing in the neutral position, or you can hold the wing higher in order to decrease the amount of power the wing generates. If you pull in with your back hand, the board will accelerate, and you will stand up easily in strong winds, and when a gust comes, you can change the angle of attack of the wing.
