2-day Kiteboarding Camp
Contact Raphael at 757-666-8537 to book a lesson or reach us by email at vboceanvibes@gmail.com
In this two-day kiteboarding camp, you'll receive 6 hours of professional kiteboarding instruction. During the first day, you'll learn how to set up your kite, learn basic kite skills like doing figure-eights, and simulating the water start. You'll learn how to body drag downwind and upwind to retrieve your board, and you'll learn how to fully depower your kite and use the quick release. You'll spend time in the water learning how to put board and kite skills together, so you can learn the water start. During the second day, you'll work on what you need to improve on, and you'll get a deeper understanding of how to kiteboard. Also, you'll be entered into the PASA system, so you can become a Professional Airsports Association certified kiteboarder. There are three levels: beginner, intermediate and advanced. If you have already received lessons and need to brush up on your skills, this is a great way to get the instruction you need. For beginner riders, two-day or three-day camps are the best way to improve quickly.
Locations: We give kiteboarding lessons throughout the Hampton Roads area at the following locations: Bell Isle Marina (flat-water location, works with N, NW, W, E, and NE winds, wear booties and thin wetsuit); Messick Point in Poquoson (SW, W, E, S, SE; wear booties and a thin wetsuit, flat-water location); First Landing State Park (NW, NE); 88th Street in Virginia Beach (N, S, NE, SE); and Sandbridge south of the pier (N, SE, NE).
